Dot's Cookbook Jim McCarthy, VP. Of Abash has published a cookbook. Yes our talent here goes far beyond core drilling and demolition! It started out as just writing down and trading family recipes and turned out to be 171 page cookbook with stories about family and friends as well as photos. He published the book with the purpose in mind that the proceeds would go towards 2 scholarships in honor of his nephew August Deforest Zebediah Smith, who was a type 1 Diabetic and died as a result of an insulin shock. The scholarships are awarded to individuals with a 2.5 GPA, and display commitment and respect to family as well as others, with a positive attitude regardless of the circumstances. A person who demonstrates Augie’s philosophy, “You will get further in life with a smile on your face.” Green Lake High School renamed their school mascot in honor of Augie. Help us continue to provide assistance for eligible candidates in obtaining higher education.
